A milling machine's feed and speed controls determine the rate at which the milling cutter advances into the workpiece and the rotational speed of the cutter. The feed rate and speed are adjusted based on factors such as the material being milled, desired surface finish, cutting forces, and tool life.

Our latest product is a new family of milling tools aimed at “trochoidal milling”. Trochoidal milling is a method of machining used to create a slot wider than the cutting tool’s cutting diameter. This is accomplished using a series of circular cuts known as a trochoidal tool path. There are a number of advantages to this method, including decreased cutting forces, reduced heat, greater accuracy, improved tool life, and faster cycle times.
